No you are not right! Not all donors donate for quick cash. There are actual good people in this world. Some clinics only take donors who are highly educated. Which I’m sure leaves them pretty well off in most cases. Or donors who’s partners are already patients in the clinic. If you had done even a little research you would know this. Another thing no, nobody signs up for 500 children. Depending on the clinic again they may only let a certain amount of families use the sperm to avoid such situations. Like 10 families for example.

Regardless if someone has two or one loving parent (which isn’t always the case) why should they not go looking for the person who helped create them? Put yourself in their position. Like you mentioned for medical purposes alone a donor conceived person should. They do go through check when they donate but they also should receive an updated version.
